Over 16 million maritime containers are in transit throughout the world on any given day – at sea, on rail, over the road, or awaiting stuffing, pick-up, delivery and stripping. Solution
KeyTone's in-transit visibility solution is based on RFID, GPS, internet and cell network technology that allows companies to track an order along with their associated containers, determine current position of a container with cargo on a world map and find out when and where the last transshipment has taken place. The solution can be further extended to verify the contents of the container to ensure that there is no loss in transit. The system allows shippers to manage their client expectations by forecasting and scheduling delivery based on any delays and bottlenecks.
