Companies dedicate a lot of resources to ensure that asset inventory across their many facilities is accurate and reconciles 100% with their system of record. Often these inventory cycle count exercises are time consuming and error prone. Not only is there variance between the physical inventory and the inventory recorded in the software, the asset related information is also often inaccurate. Asset users and their location of use often do not match with the system of record, leading to further chaos and time consuming audits.

AssetTrace Mobile delivers an advanced asset inventory solution for a mobile workforce by supporting RFID and/or barcode handhelds for asset data collection. It is the only platform that supports barcode and RFID providing users with the flexibility to leverage their existing barcode system and compliment it by tagging high value assets with RFID for granular and accurate inventory. The AssetTrace Mobile architecture is elastic and its servers reside in the cloud - meaning less IT management overhead and no upfront deployment costs.

AssetTrace Mobile supports many different RFID and/or barcode handhelds and the software installed on these handhelds helps users perform many different inventory related functions. Upon completion, users can seamlessly upload the captured information directly to their system of record through AssetTrace Mobile Server.

The software allows end users to provision large numbers of assets quickly through a RFID or barcode enabled handhelds or through a computer connected to a wedge barcode scanner. It allows users to marry their existing asset barcode ID with the ID of the RFID tag as it is being affixed to a given asset. The software validates every asset being provisioned with the existing asset information in the central system. This ensures that every asset is accounted for and the data being entered is accurate. This is a powerful way to provision assets at remote sites and verify and upload them to the central repository. This can either be done in real time if the systems are connected or through a batch upload if these systems are disconnected. The software only transfers records that are inserted, updated, or deleted making the synchronization process quick, easy and accurate.
